About us

Bildungsinstitut Rosenheim is run personally by Özlem Zenker, M.A. She combines linguistics with many years of teaching experience in Rosenheim.

Özlem Zenker studied linguistics at LMU Munich, specialising in German and theoretical linguistics as well as Turkology. This background shapes her work: a thorough understanding of the German language and an academic foundation for her Turkish teaching.

She has worked in education since 2008. She started as a German support teacher and taught at several schools in the region, including Mangfallschule, Adolf-Rasp-Schule and Justus-von-Liebig-Grund- und Mittelschule in Heufeld. At Mittelschule am Luitpoldpark she led her own educational projects.

Since 2016 she has taught integration courses for adults, including at DAA Deutsche Angestellten-Akademie and Volkshochschule Rosenheim. She was a board member of the educational association Kind und Werk, where she led projects with children and teenagers.

Her early educational work included free tutoring at Bürgerhaus Miteinander. As a donor to the Initiative Bürgerstiftung Rosenheim, she has actively supported education, children and families in Rosenheim. The institute grew out of this combination of expertise and commitment.

For me, education is never a production line. Every person learns differently, and that is what matters.
